Dianne M. Fernandez is an accomplished media relations leader with more than a decade of experience elevating brands, institutions, and public agencies through strategic storytelling, high-impact media coverage, and crisis communication expertise. With a foundation in broadcast journalism and a career that has spanned decades specializing in story telling, brand protection, executive coaching and public affairs. newsrooms around the state of Florida, executive coaching, and public affairs, Dianne brings a unique blend of credibility, creativity and calm under pressure. As Senior Director of Media Relations at Florida International University, Dianne has led national campaigns and secured placements in on major outlets including Good Morning America, CNN, MSNBC, CBS This Morning, NBC Nightly News and many. more. Her leadership has been pivotal during landmark moments—from the FIU bridge collapse to presidential transitions and groundbreaking scientific research. In 2015, she launched Fernandez Media Relations & Consulting with FIU as her biggest client. A decade later, she has helped a wide range of clients including the Miami Parking Authority, Latin Builders Association, and the Village of Key Biscayne. She has been trusted to lead high-profile public awareness initiatives for both private enterprise and public sector agencies. She has served as the voice and strategy behind emergency communication efforts, including during major events such as the Ultra Music Festival and Miami International Boat Show. Dianne is also a former Emmy-nominated reporter, having interviewed U.S. Presidents and covered major national events in both English and Spanish. Her journalism career spanned over 15 years across major stations in Florida, and she later brought that expertise into the classroom as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, Florida International University.
